It’s time for New York State to lead by example and upgrade New York by rapidly advancing a labor-led climate agenda starting with cutting on-site emissions from its own buildings, facilities and campuses. The legislature can fund and advance projects this year from New York’s highest emitting facilities that will create an equitable clean energy union workforce and a pipeline for union careers. The expert panel will discuss the unique opportunity thermal energy networks can play in fully decarbonizing buildings, facilities and entire campuses. The panel will also highlight opportunities to dedicate funding to transition existing workers and fund pre-apprenticeship programs and wrap around support to ensure equitable access to union careers.

This event is open to the public.
